ODDS ARE GOOD
The rule of odds is a rule for a reason.
Pieces look best grouped in odd numbers (three is a favorite!).
Work in your favorite pieces of flair for a personalized air.

TIP 2: Or largest to one side, smallest in the middle, and medium to the other side—voila!
TIP 1: Group largest in the back with your medium and smallest selections to either side.
BOOK SMARTS
Stacked books add height, visual
interest, and color.
Stacking boxes are a chic stand-in (they also stash your stuff!)
Make it thematic, showcase personal faves, or color-match to your décor!
SHADOW PLAY
Natural light not feeling right? Wait ’til night and switch on a light (then play with off-camera placement until you get it right).
Mid-afternoon, no filter.
Evening with a table lamp—ta-da!—shadows and intrigue.
