"I love this box. The only thing that would make it better is if the lid was on hinges."

Making A Monochromatic Room the Center of Attention by Moving Two Similarly Related Colors and Moving Them To Opposite Sides of the Light Spectrum!

"Jonathan Adler’s Medium Basketweave Lacquer Box is such a beautiful statement piece; both of the incredible style from the ‘70s era and how an inventive mind like Jonathan Adler can bring that style to a present-day iconic decor item for my home. It’s hard sometimes for a designer to integrate unique elements into your home when the color palate is differing levels of blue and green—without the cliche use of paisley. This box is the perfect example of how to take to similar shades like blue and green but in tones so vibrant that they end up on completely different ends of the spectrum. When I saw this box, I knew that it was one of those “MUST HAVE” items to liven up in my den/sunroom. Once I brought the decor item into the room, everything just became radiant with light. And not by adding an element of busy old country patterns. Everyone who now visits my home becomes immersed in the color and style of the box—so much so that I had to move it to a different spot that was more centralized to the room’s layout. That way, my guests took in the whole room. And they certainly do, with quite a “wow” remark and reaction. Thank you, Jonathan Adler, for yet another new piece of timeless art that meets function. —D. Rost, Naples Florida"
