"when I was just child, my grandmother taught me all kinds of games that you can play with a deck of cards. She had this beautiful Sterling silver box that she kept her cards in. They were from the 50s and had these renaissance jokers on the front sides. every time we would play I would get so excited about playing with what I thought was a treasure. Then I grew up and somewhere along the way the sterling silver box with the cards somehow disappeared. I never really thought after that point that I would have anything like that in my home. So I just had a deck of cards thrown into one of the many drawers in my house. but I received my Jonathan Adler catalog and saw the Eden collection of games which featured this incredible lacquered box that held to decks of cards. It’s a small piece, but it is so hypnotic the almost infinity snake just make sure eyes open wide to take it in as much as you can. it truly has returned cards to a sophisticated game between people of Grace and elegance.
